Motkraft is Norway’s first non-profit electricity company. The company was founded to provide people with utilities at a fair price.
When I was introduced to Motkraft they needed to both refresh the design of their app, and develop their product further.
Making the design more consistent, and creating a complete design system that would make it scalable into the foreseeable future.
The onboarding-flow is quite standard, but follows a universal authentication logic for all products.
An authentication user-flow was designed separately to this product, and therefore I have only included one screen for illustration purposes.
On app launch, once the user has been authenticated, a home screen is shown displaying key metrics, namely consumption and price. Each of these cards can be tapped on to view more detailed information.
Furthermore, users can view expenditure and billing, in addition to invoices that are due. Through an overview of all payments that have been made.
Electric vehicles have become an important part of modern life, and therefore an electricity app that can accommodate such functionality becomes essential.
Motkraft is planning on expanding their offering, covering more essential services. Their ethos is to be a low-cost utility like service provider, for other services such as SIM cards and smart home functionality.
This offering is still under development. However, an in-depth concept of all pages have been designed to prepare Motkraft for the release of this product.
